SOLVENTAS SCHOLARSHIP

The Solventas Scholarship expands access to education for individuals pursuing careers that heal, educate, build or empower their communities. Rooted in our belief that opportunity should not be determined by circumstance, the scholarship supports students who demonstrate resilience, purpose and a commitment to a positive impact. 

Unlike traditional foundations, Solventas does not run in-house programs. Instead, we strengthen the work of partner institutions already making a difference. The Solventas Scholarship is administered entirely by these partners, ensuring that students receive direct support while institutions manage selection and distribution. Through our 100% passthrough model, every dollar contributed by donors goes directly to the scholarship recipient’s educational institution or approved training program, maximizing impact and honor donor intent. By investing in emerging leaders, we help individuals gain the skills, confidence, and independence needed to build brighter futures for themselves and their communities. 

Solventas works with donors to direct scholarships to specific schools, fields of study, or community partners. Together, we can open doors to opportunities for the next generation of changemakers. 

Partner institutions administrating the scholarship will evaluate applicants using the following criteria: 

1. Commitment to Impact; clear alignment with mission-driven fields such as healthcare, education, community development, social services, or related areas. 
2. Demonstrated Potential; evidence of academic effort, personal resilience, leadership or initiative, regardless of past circumstances. 
3. Financial Need; priority is given to applicants whose financial circumstances present significant barriers to pursuing education or training. 
4. Characters & Values; applicants who demonstrate integrity, compassion, responsibility, and a desire to contribute meaningfully to their community 
5. Long-Term Independence; preference for individuals who articulate how education will enable them to become self-sustaining and ultimately give back. 

Administration

• The Solventas Scholarship is administered directly by partner institutions, not be the Foundation. 
• Solventas provides funds; partners manage application review, selection, and distribution. 
• This ensures alignment with the Foundation’s philosophy of empowering organizations rather than building in-house programs. 

Funding Model

• All scholarship funds follow the Foundation’s 100% passthrough model, every dollar goes directly to the student’s institution or approved program. 
• Donors may designate their contribution to a specific partner school, field of study, or student population. 

Award Amount & Duration

• Award amounts may vary annually based on donor contributions and partner institution needs. 
• Scholarships may be one-time or renewable, depending on partner structures. 

Reporting & Stewardship

• Partner institutions provide annual reports summarizing awardees, fund usage and impact stories. 
• Solventas shared these outcomes with donors to ensure full transparency.
